Comrade Monk is originally from Lansing, Michigan and
attended Boot Camp at Great Lakes after joining the Navy on June 29, 1995. He completed Submarine School in Groton,
Connecticut.

He retired to the State of Texas in July of 2017. Comrade Monk is very involved with volunteer
activities at VFW Post 10429 and currently serves as Jr Vice Commander for
Benbrook Memorial Post 10429 VFW.
